CALYPSO ceiling lamp

IKEA recalls CALYPSO ceiling lamp within date stamps 1625 -1744 due to the risk of falling shade.

IKEA urges all customers who have purchased CALYPSO ceiling lamps after the

1st of August 2016 to double check the date stamp on their product.

Affected CALYPSO ceiling lamps were manufactured with date stamps (between and including), 1625 to 1744.

We urge all customers with an affected product to return it for a new CALYPSO or for a full refund. IKEA does not require any proof of purchase.

At IKEA, we take product safety very seriously. All of our products are tested and comply with applicable standards and legislation. In spite of this we have received reports that CALYPSO glass shades have fallen. In order to minimise the risk to our customers we are recalling the product for a full refund or replacement product.

CALYPSO ceiling lamp dismantle

Dismantle safely like this:

Carefully pull out the movable arm.

Remove the lamp shade while you continue to hold the movable arm pulled out.
